UCSD Mathematics : Southern California Number Theory Day

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA NUMBER THEORY DAY

Location: All talks will be held in the AP&M (Dept. of Math.) 6438, on the UCSD campus. The refreshments will be served in AP&M 7356.

9:30-10:00	Coffee and doughnuts in AP&M 7356 (Faculty Lounge).
10:00 - 11:00	Alice Silverberg Title: "Algebraic tori in cryptography"
11:30 - 12:30	Matthias Flach Title: "Weil - étale cohomology"
12:30 - 2:30	Lunch
2:30 - 3:30	Adebisi Agboola Title: "p-adic L-functions and CM elliptic curves"
4:00 - 5:00	William Duke Title: "The asymptotics of traces of singular moduli"
6:00 -	Dinner

Directions to the UCSD Campus and the AP&M Building.

Parking on the UCSD Campus is free on weekends. You may park in any of the parking lots next to the AP&M building (to see a campus map, please click on the "Directions" link above). Please do not park in the "reserved" or "A parking only" spaces.

Registration: There is no registration fee. This will help the organizers make proper catering arrangements and dinner reservations.
