UCSD Mathematics : Southern California Number Theory Day

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA NUMBER THEORY DAY

Location: All talks will be held in the SOLIS Lecture Hall 104, on the UCSD campus. The refreshments will be served in SOLIS (atrium, just outside 104). Click on campus map to locate the SOLIS Lecture Hall.

9:30-10:00	Coffee and doughnuts in SOLIS (just outside 104).
10:00 - 11:00	Karl Rubin Title: "Growth of ranks of elliptic curves in dihedral extensions"
11:30 - 12:30	Niranjan Ramachandran Title: "Special values of zeta functions"
12:30 - 2:30	Lunch
2:30 - 3:30	Florian Pop Title: "Rumely's local-global principle revisited"
4:00 - 5:00	Daqing Wan Title: "L-Functions of Function Fields"
6:00 -	Dinner - Café Ventanas (UCSD Campus).

Directions to the UCSD campus and the AP&M building (Math. Department).

Parking on the UCSD Campus is free on weekends. You may park in any of the parking lots next to the AP&M building. For a campus map, please click on map. Please do not park in the "reserved" or "A parking only" spaces. The SOLIS building is within two minutes walking from any of these parking lots (see map).

Registration: There is no registration fee. However, if you are interested in participating, please fill in the blank fields below and click on the "Submit Registration Information" button below in order to register for the conference. This will help the organizers make proper catering arrangements and dinner reservations.
