Dr. Zlatos received his PhD. from Caltech in 2003. Afterwards he worked at the Universities of Wisconsin and Chicago, eventually moving to UCSD in 2016.
Dr. Zlatos is an applied analyst whose research is motivated by real world phenomena. His recent work involves the study of partial differential equations that model reactive-diffusive processes, motions of fluids, and mixing. His contributions have been recognized, among others, by an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship and an NSF CAREER award.
