Manuel Sutton

- Hired by Blue Data as a C/C++ programmer.
- Blue Data created web enabled database tools.
- Currently consults at Blue Data but works full time for Acucorp.
- Acucorp makes programming tools for COBOL programmers.
- Likes to scuba diving and spends a lot of his free time fixing his jeep.
Bruce Arnold
- BA, Math, w/ honors, UCLA, 1971.
- MA Educational Administration, w/ honors, National University, 2000.
- 1971-1993, U.S. Navy officer pilot.
- 1994-present, Torrey Pines High School mathematics teacher.
- 2000-present, Co-Director UCSD Algebraic Thinking Institute and Mathematics Professional Development for UCSD's Secondary Partnership Schools.
- His hobbies include solving word problems using multiple representations; understanding students' ways of mathematical thinking; devolving responsibility for solving problems to students; developing students' ways of thinking mathematically.
Robert Hecht Nielsen
- BS, Mathematics, Arizona State University, 1971.
- PhD, Mathematics, Arizona State University, 1974.
- California native.
- A student of science and technology from early childhood.
- As a teenager he was trained as an aircraft pilot.
- 1979-1983, Motorola, and 1983-1986, TRW, conducting neural networking and neurocomputing R&D.
- Since 1985 he has been on the faculty at UCSD.
- In 1986 he and his partner Todd Gutschow founded HNC Software in San Diego.
- His hobby is flying.
