Using the smbpasswd command

Use the smbpasswd to change your Samba password.

  • To change your Samba password: login to euclid and type smbpasswd at the command line. 
    euclid{/home/username}% smbpasswd
    
Old SMB password:
    
New SMB password:
    
Retype new SMB password:
    Your samba password will now be set to your new choice.
