5/19/04 - Correction to Strong Version of Hensel's Lemma on Review:
             The congruence between alpha and alpha_1 should be mod p^(x-y).

The textbook for Math 104B will be p-adic Numbers: An Introduction by Fernando Q. Gouvea.
It's one of the best math books I've ever read. It's also about ten dollars cheaper at Amazon than at the bookstore.

Exam Dates

First Midterm - Friday, April 23 (in class)

Final Exam - Friday, June 11, 3:00-6:00pm

Homework is 21% of the total grade, each midterm is worth 23%, and the final is 33%. Blue books are required for all exams.

Homework Assignments
