Course Description

This course will introduce basic stuff in matrix analysis from a computational perspective. Linear algebra, rational and Jordan forms, unitary and Hermitian matrices, matrix decompositions, perturbation of eigenvalues, positive semidefinite matrices.

Prerequisite

Basic training in linear algebra, or consent by the instructor.

Textbook

The recommended textbook is Matrix Analysis by Horn and Johnson.
