Course announcement & Grading Policy

Abbreviated syllabus: B-splines and Nurbs. Ray Tracing. Radiosity. Geometry, including intersections testing and quaternions. Animation. Inverse Kinematics.

Students will be required to program in C++ using OpenGL (programming experience in any one of C or C++ or Java will be sufficient background). A portion of the course will use 3D Studio Max for geometric modeling.

Grades will be based on: projects, homeworks, a midterm and a final. The final exam is scheduled for Friday, March 24, 8:00 AM. A list of possible topics for the final is available. It is comprehensive and can cover all topics covered during lecture, except that forward and inverse kinematics will not appear on the final exam.

Final project: due Wednesday, March 22, 12:00.
