Conference on Spectral Analysis in Geometry and Physics

WHAT/WHERE/WHEN:
The Conference on Spectral Analysis in Geometry and Physics will be held at the Department of Mathematics at UC San Diego in La Jolla, California on January 3, 4 and 5, 2003. We hope that the conference will be an opportunity for mathematicians and mathematical physicists from different areas whose work is related to spectral theory to share points of view and report on recent advances. The SAGP PROGRAM is now posted listing the conference schedule with the titles and abstracts of the talks and registered participants. Here is the current update to the list of speakers.


REGISTRATION/ACCOMODATIONS/TRANSPORTATION:

  • Participants must register in advance. There is a registration fee of $15. IF THERE ARE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS PLEASE NOTIFY CONFERENCE COORDINATOR VIA EMAIL. SAGP Registration Form
  • Accomodations: Some of the the local hotels listed here give UCSD rates. Only the Residence Inn and the Radisson are within walking distance to campus and transportation to and from UCSD will be provided for pick-up and drop off all days of the conference for SAGP attendees. The conference will provide pre-paid rooms at the La Jolla Residence Inn for those participants who qualify for funding. THE CUTOFF DATE FOR PREPAID LODGING EXPENSE IS DECEMBER 16, 2002. For those participants who want to stay nearer the beach, La Jolla Cove Suites is pleasantly located on the beach in downtown La Jolla and transportation to and from UCSD will be provided for pick-up and drop off all days of the conference for SAGP attendees.
  • Travel Funds: Funds for travel reimbursement are available for allowable travel costs and for those participants that qualify for funding. Please print out a copy of the SAGP Travel form


  • Directions to UCSD The conference will be held at the Department of Mathematics, located at Room 4301 on the 4th Floor of the Applied Physics and Mathematics Building, Muir Campus. The department is near parking lot P207.
