Before requesting an appointment with an advisor, review the guidelines below to see if your question can be answered in a quick walk-in (virtual), a scheduled appointment, by VAC or by email.

If you need assistance with…

Double Majoring:

Please see here - fill out the double major petition, academic plan, and statement of purpose. Then, you can email the documents to mathadvising@math.ucsd.edu or attend virtual walk-in hours to obtain a signature. 

Course Planning:

We require students to make a draft of their quarter by quarter plan before meeting with an advisor.

Resources for making a plan can be found here. Check your major requirements, look at course descriptions / prerequisites and check the planned course offerings to see what quarter they are offered.
