Introduction to some problems in linear and non-linear waves
Abstract:
This is an overview talk for students on problems in the field of non-linear wave equations. We'll first introduce several models from classical field theory, and then discuss some open problems and current techniques for approaching them. The focus of this and future seminars will be on asymptotic stability problems and decay estimates.
