Education: Dr. Frisch earned his Ph.D. from Caltech in 2021.

Research: Dr. Frisch research focuses on the interactions between group theory and dynamical systems. Tools from combinatorics, logic, and probability regularly play crucial roles. Particular topics I focus on are random walks on groups, ergodic theory and topological dynamics, and descriptive set theory. I am particularly fascinated by how group-theoretic restrictions can give rise to dynamical properties and conversely how dynamical systems reflect the properties of the acting group.

Prior to UC San Diego: Dr. Frisch was an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at École normale supérieure.
