Biography

Dr. Xu earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago in 2017.

Dr. Xu works in algebraic topology and his research work is focused on classical, motivic and equivariant homotopy groups of spheres, with connections and applications to chromatic homotopy theory and geometric topology.

Dr. Xu was a Moore Instructor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 2017 and 2020.
