From additive Levy processes to Levy processes

Abstract:

We describe some of the recent advances on the interface between the theory of Levy processes and fractal geometry. We will mention how these results help resolve old questions in the area of Levy processes. A common theme in this talk is that oftent imes the analysis of Levy processes leads us to study a class of random fields that are called ``additive Levy processes." Much of this talk is based on collaborative efforts with Yimin Xiao.
