Bernstein's Theorem for the two-valued minimal surface equation

Abstract:

\indent We explore the question of whether there are nontrivial solutions to the two-valued minimal surface (2MSE) equation defined over the punctured plane. The 2MSE is a non-uniformly elliptic PDE, degenerate at the origin, originally introduced by N.Wickramasekera and L.Simon to produce examples of stable branched minimal immersions.
