How to make your computer process a digital image

Abstract:

So you have an image, taken perhaps by a digital camera during a family outing or with expensive equipment such as an MRI scanner. What do you want to do with this image? Maybe you want to make it cleaner, sharper, fix defects, or circle important parts. Or maybe you want the computer to do it for you. In this talk, we touch on these topics and reveal some of the mathematics behind automated digital image processing. \vskip .1in \noindent Refreshments will be provided! \vskip 2in
