Non-Kahler Ricci flows and Kahler singularity models

Abstract:

We investigate Riemannian (non-Kahler) Ricci flow solutions that develop finite-time singularities with the property that parabolic rescalings at the singularities converge to singularity models that are shrinking Kahler--Ricci solitons, specifically, the conjecturally stable ``blowdown soliton'' discovereed by Feldman, Ilmanen and Knopf. This is a joint work with Isenberg and Knopf.
