Right triangles and related Diophantine stories, Part II
Abstract:
I will discuss links between a certain class of Pythagorean triples and certain aspects of modern number theory, such as the theory of elliptic curves, their L-functions, and the various still unsolved conjectures predicting their behavior. Refreshments will be provided.
