Stratifications of Shimura Varieties
Abstract:
Shimura varieties are generalizations of modular curves which are at the heart of the programs of both R. Langlands and S. Kudla. We will focus on the geometric infrastructure built using Barsotti-Tate groups, and we will present some arithmetic applications related to the above programs or their p-adic variants.
