Angelakis proved in his thesis (2015) that there are many different imaginary quadratic fields that all have the "same" absolute abelian Galois group, i.e., their absolute abelian Galois group is isomorphic to some universal profinite group. In this talk, we show that his techniques can be used to prove similar results for the adelic point groups associated to elliptic curves.
